Alison Moore makes silver jewellery from a studio and shop inside the former Commercial Hotel building on Victoria Street in Stromness, having moved the business there in 2023; a second shop trades on Albert Street in Kirkwall. Both locations double as workshops where visitors can watch pieces being made, working with silver and a palette of gemstones. Beginners can book a jewellery-making class covering cutting, filing, soldering, texturing and polishing, and leave with a finished piece made by their own hand rather than a kit assembled elsewhere. The Stromness shop sits close to the ferry terminal and extends to Sunday trading only during the summer season. Moore also sells through Etsy and Not on the High Street alongside the two physical shops.
