Workers' co-operative wholefood shop and delicatessen on Alston's Market Place, opened in 1998 and run collectively by its staff. Stocks organic and fairly traded groceries, local cheese, bread and gluten-free lines, with special orders taken by phone or email. Believed to be England's highest market town, Alston relies on the shop as its main grocer.
