Bookcase occupies a five-storey Georgian building on Castle Street that once served as the headquarters of England's only nationalised brewery. Around 300,000 secondhand, antiquarian and collectable titles are arranged across the floors, with specialist sections on Cumbrian topography, natural history and military history, plus sheet music and records.
