Pierhead Watersports

Pierhead Watersports was founded in 2020 by Phil, a former outdoor centre manager with two decades in the watersports industry, and operates from a base right on Swanage Pier. The business runs powerboat courses, watersports tours and equipment sales, including a paddleboard range supplied through a partnership with Sandbanks Style. Phil also serves as a volunteer crew member with Swanage's RNLI lifeboat station. Trading from a single pier-side location rather than multiple outlets, Pierhead Watersports takes advantage of its position at the entrance to Swanage Bay, with views across to Studland and the mouth of Poole Harbour on longer trips out. The pier setting puts it beside Swanage's fishing boats and pleasure craft, on the town’s working harbour front.
