Smith's GardenCentre, Baginton

Smith's Garden Centre began in 1942 when Eric Smith started a small plant nursery on the site it still occupies on Stoneleigh Road, Baginton. Now run by the fourth generation of the same family, the business grows a significant share of its own stock across two on-site nurseries, alongside garden furniture, house plants and gift lines sold through the main centre. It holds membership of the Garden Centre Association and has moved to peat-free composts and recyclable pots as standard. An on-site café, Granny Smith's, serves visitors browsing the plant houses and outdoor displays. The centre remains a single, independently owned site rather than part of a wider group, and continues to trade under the family name that first opened here more than eighty years ago.
