Castle Irvine sits within the Necarne demesne south of Irvinestown, a 235-acre estate whose grounds date from the early 17th century, now run as a private equestrian centre and events venue. The estate has an indoor arena, an all-weather dressage and jumping arena inside a walled garden, grass arenas for show jumping and cross country, and stabling built around two cobbled courtyards. It hosts show jumping qualifiers, dressage evenings and riding camps through the year, including sessions run with outside coaches, and previously staged international eventing competitions before the Department of Agriculture's long lease on the site ended. Courtyard bedrooms and a garden house provide accommodation for riders and groups staying to compete or train. The castle building itself is not open as a general tourist attraction, with access tied to bookings for riding, training or events on the estate.
