Clarendon Perk

Clarendon Perk occupies the corner premises on Clarendon Park Road previously home to Skylark Bakery, opposite Avenue Primary School. Opened in 2025 by Sarah and Gus, the café bakes its own cakes on site and serves breakfasts, brunch and afternoon tea alongside properly brewed coffee and a rotating list of specialty teas. The room is small and informal, with a handful of tables inside and pavement seating for warmer months, drawing a mix of local families, students and dog walkers from the surrounding Clarendon Park streets. Leicester City Council awarded the kitchen a five-out-of-five food hygiene rating in August 2025. The menu changes with the seasons, and the counter display of cakes and traybakes is replenished through the day rather than baked once each morning.
