D. Campbell & Son Butchers has traded from Ancaster Square in Callander since 1949, run across three generations of the same family. The single shop sources beef, lamb, pork and venison from farms within Perthshire and the Trossachs, and makes its own sausages, burgers, haggis and black pudding on the premises each day. Steak pies, a long-standing favourite among regulars, are produced in-house rather than bought in, alongside a range of gluten-free meat products and free-range poultry. The shop continues to serve both townspeople and visitors passing through on the road into the Trossachs. It remains a single, independently owned premises in Callander, with no other branches.
