Morgans Bistro &Cocktail Bar

Morgans Bistro & Cocktail Bar occupies a restored building on Caroline Street, brought back into use through the Bridgend Townscape Heritage scheme. Owner and head chef Adrian Reynolds opened the restaurant in 2020, building a French-leaning menu that runs alongside a dedicated steak list and a cocktail bar at the front of the house. The kitchen changes dishes seasonally rather than sticking to a fixed carte, and the bar mixes cocktails to match the food rather than treating drinks as an afterthought. Reynolds has described it as a small, independent operation built up through the hardest years for hospitality, and it was named Best Restaurant in Wales at the 2023 Best of Welsh Business Awards. The dining room seats a modest number of covers, keeping service personal rather than production-line.
