Carnlough Irish Whiskey operates out of the restored Parochial Hall on Harbour Road in Carnlough, converted into a whiskey warehouse and finishing house rather than a working distillery. Adrian McLaughlin and Master Distiller Darryl McNally, together with businessman Carl Harrison, source spirit from established Irish distilleries and rest it in small casks that previously held Madeira or port wine, applying what they call a harbour finish. The project takes its name and some of its story from Ann Murray, an eighteenth-century poteen maker from the Glens of Antrim. Bottling, blending and cask selection all happen on site in the same coastal village where the whiskey is sold. It shares ownership with the neighbouring Harbourview Hotel, giving visitors a route from cask sampling through to a finished glass without leaving Carnlough. The operation is new, having taken shape through 2025.
