dill occupies a small historic building just off Alton's Market Square, on Cross and Pillory Lane. Opened in June 2022 by its current owners, the café and deli runs a seasonally changing menu built around Hampshire producers, with a map on the wall showing where ingredients come from. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are served daily until mid-afternoon, with the kitchen closing slightly earlier than the dining room. On Friday evenings the café reopens for a five-course supper club with a different theme each month, which regularly sells out. Coffee is made to order, and there is window seating for those eating in or ordering to take away. The building's age gives the small dining room a low-beamed, close feel.
