James Schryver Furniture works from a single workshop unit on Station Approach in Four Marks, a village just outside Alton. The business makes bespoke furniture and fitted kitchens to order and also restores and repairs antique pieces, working mostly in solid wood. Commissions are designed and built on the premises, with clients able to discuss materials, joinery and finish directly with the maker rather than through a retail showroom. Antique restoration work ranges from minor repairs to more involved rebuilding of damaged veneer, joints and mouldings. The workshop takes on both furniture-making and restoration jobs concurrently, and enquiries are handled by phone or through the business's Facebook page as well as its website.
