Jo Potts opened Kyffin Café Deli on Bangor High Street in 2005 as the city's first vegetarian and vegan café, and continues to run it with a small team. The kitchen changes its world food menu daily, offering five main dishes drawn from a rotating list of international cuisines alongside homemade cakes, cookies, and a deli counter stocked with chocolate, truffles and food gifts. Around forty loose-leaf teas and ten single-origin coffee beans are available to drink in or buy by the bag. The café occupies a High Street unit in the Pendref part of town, a short walk from Bangor University and the cathedral. It is open Monday to Saturday during the day and closed on Sundays.
