Paragon Books

Paragon Books has traded from 38 High Street in Sidmouth since 1991, making it the town's longest-running independent bookshop. The shop stocks fiction, non-fiction and children's titles across its shelves, plus sheet music, maps and greetings cards, and can order in anything not held in stock for next-day collection in most cases. Paintings and cards from local artists hang alongside the book displays, giving the shop a role as an outlet for Sidmouth's wider creative community as well as a place to buy a novel. The shop changed hands under new ownership in recent years but has kept its original name and its High Street premises.
