Parva Farm Vineyard sits on a south-facing slope above Tintern and the River Wye, first planted in 1979 and taken on by Colin and Judith Dudley in 1996 after years of neglect. The Dudleys replanted and restored the site, keeping one of Wales' earliest working vineyards in production rather than letting it revert to pasture. The farm shop sells the vineyard's own wines alongside mead, fruit wines, cider, perry, local honey and preserves, with free tastings offered at the counter. A self-guided tour through the vines costs a small charge and takes visitors past the slope overlooking Tintern Abbey below. The vineyard closes through January and February each year and otherwise opens Thursday to Monday, drawing passing trade from walkers on the Wye Valley path as much as dedicated wine visitors.
