The School House is a four-room bed and breakfast on Stretton Road in Stretton, run by Garry and Helen, both former teachers, since 2016. The building dates to around 1840, originally built as the headmaster's house for the school next door, and has been refurbished to provide en-suite accommodation while keeping features of the original property. Each of the four rooms is named after a school subject, Maths, English, Science and History, and comes with a private bathroom, television and hospitality tray. Breakfast is included in the room rate, with rates starting from £64 a night. The property offers free parking, an electric vehicle charging point and a garden, and sits within a thirty-minute drive of Manchester, Liverpool and Chester. As a family-run guest house rather than part of a hotel group, The School House trades from a single property in Stretton village, though dogs are no longer accommodated following a change in policy.
