Two museums share one building in the market town of Andover, on the River Anton. Andover Museum opened in 1981; the Museum of the Iron Age, which tells the story of nearby Danebury hillfort, joined it in 1986 in a brick extension added in the 1880s. The Grade II listed house began as a mid-18th-century Georgian townhouse, bought in the 1840s by Martha Gale and gifted to Andover Grammar School. Displays cover the 1846 workhouse scandal, Weyhill Fair and Taskers of the Waterloo Ironworks. Café and shop.
