Museum of theIron Age

Two floors of Iron Age material in Andover, run by the charity Hampshire Cultural Trust, telling the story of the Danebury hillfort to the south west of the town, excavated by Professor Barry Cunliffe between 1969 and 1988. Real artefacts sit alongside a replica roundhouse, quern stone and clay bread oven. The Fullerton Mosaic, discovered in 1872 and installed here in 2009, centres on Mars as protector of agriculture. Adult tickets £5, valid for a year of visits.
