Attic BrewCo

Oli Hurlow and Sam met at university and began brewing in Sam's attic using equipment he had built with his grandad, testing early batches on friends before deciding to start a business. Attic Brew Co opened its taproom in Stirchley on 23 November 2018 and has grown into one of the larger independent breweries in the West Midlands while remaining self-funded and owner-operated. The brewery is fully vegan and sits twenty metres from Bournville Station on Mary Vale Road. Alongside its own rotating beers and cider, the taproom added cask ale on up to three handpumps in 2023. Deathrow Pizza serves food on site, and the space runs markets, comedy nights and live music, welcoming dogs and children into a room built for a mixed crowd.
