The Dark Horse trades from Alcester Road in Moseley as a sister venue to the Prince of Wales, sharing ownership rather than any corporate parent. Fifteen rotating craft beer lines cover the bar, refreshed with tap takeovers from breweries around the country, while the kitchen serves British pub food with an American diner slant, including smash burgers, fried chicken and shareable small plates. Sunday roasts come from Brum Mi, a local supplier, with roast meats, Yorkshire puddings and seasonal vegetables. Upstairs, a 200-capacity room hosts live bands, stand-up comedy and club nights through the week, a programme that predates the current food offer; the space previously ran as the Mo' Dough pop-up pizzeria before settling into its present format. Kitchen hours vary by day and the bar closes latest on Friday and Saturday nights.
