The BookTower

The Book Tower opened on Poplar Road in Kings Heath in August 2025 as a small, family-run second-hand bookshop, stocking fiction, non-fiction, plays, poetry and first editions alongside vintage titles. Alongside books, the shelves carry literary-themed greeting cards and gifts made by local artists and small creative businesses. The shop keeps a second, smaller stock point inside Red Brick Market in Deritend, giving it a foothold in the city centre alongside its Kings Heath base. Opening hours are limited across the week, with the shop shut on Mondays and Tuesdays and a short Wednesday afternoon slot. Free local delivery is offered on orders over twenty pounds. It sits close to several other independent booksellers in Kings Heath, adding a secondhand and vintage specialism to the suburb's book trade.
