Bank House occupies a Georgian townhouse on the High Street in Bishop's Castle, run by owner Gerry as a five-room bed and breakfast. Rooms are named after Shropshire hills, including Caradoc, Hopton, Rowton and Lawley, and combine period features with a plainer, contemporary decoration. Guests have use of an oak-panelled drawing room and a south-facing garden terrace, and breakfast is served in the house rather than a separate dining annexe. The whole property can also be booked for exclusive use or on a self-catering basis, which suits walking groups exploring the Shropshire Hills. Bishop's Castle's small centre of independent shops and pubs is a short walk from the front door. Gerry keeps the house open to individual B&B bookings outside group hire periods.
