Billy Shiel'sBoat Trips

Billy Shiel's Boat Trips has run passenger boats from Seahouses harbour to the Farne Islands since 1918, when the Shiel family began ferrying visitors out to the seabird colonies and grey seal haul-outs. It is now run by a later generation of the same family, operating a fleet of boats for landing trips to Inner Farne and Staple Island as well as non-landing seal and bird cruises. Sailings depend on weather and tide and are booked through the harbourside office.
