CBK Adventures

CBK Adventures has run kayak, stand-up paddleboard and coasteering trips out of Cullercoats Bay since 2014. Sessions launch directly from the bay's sheltered harbour, taking guided groups along the coastline toward Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, with lessons and equipment hire available alongside the guided trips. In April 2020 the operator won gold in the Experience of the Year category at the North East Tourism Awards. A Finnish-style beach sauna and the on-site Kahvi coffee shop have since been added to the single Cullercoats base, giving customers somewhere to warm up after cold-water sessions. The business has not opened a second base elsewhere on the coast, running all bookings through the one Norma Crescent site. Water safety talks are built into every session, reflecting the operator's roots as a small independent outdoor activity provider rather than a national adventure-sports franchise.
