Cone8 Ceramics

KC and Sarah Feder run Cone8 from a studio on Rookwood Way in Bow, teaching wheel-throwing and hand-building to small groups capped at six students per class. KC trained in ceramic design at Central Saint Martins after growing up in Hong Kong, while Feder brings an architecture and design background shaped by a childhood split between New Zealand, Malaysia and Scotland. The studio runs single taster sessions alongside four- and eight-week courses, and members can hire kiln time to fire work made elsewhere. A team of resident ceramicists, several also trained at Central Saint Martins, teach alongside the founders. Cone8 describes itself as a women-owned studio and keeps classes deliberately small to avoid crowding the workshop's few wheels and hand-building benches. The studio operates from this single Bow address only, with sessions run by appointment.
