Simon Tyler runs Creekside Vinyl from a small shopfront just off Faversham's Market Place, stocking new pressings and secondhand vinyl across genres from soul and jazz to indie and classical, plus turntables and music memorabilia. Browsers can spend an hour working through the crates without buying anything, the kind of unhurried search that has largely disappeared from chain record shops. The shop also functions as a small gift shop, selling music-themed cards and merchandise alongside the records. It sits close to the old Market Hall in one of Faversham's oldest surviving commercial streets, drawing collectors from across Kent as well as locals topping up their collections. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome, and entry is free whether or not customers plan to spend money. Tyler's own enthusiasm for music shapes the stock, which shifts as new arrivals come and go.
