A volunteer-run museum on the Isle of Sheppey covering the island's part in the pioneering days of English aviation: the Short brothers' Triple Twin, the world's first twin-engine aircraft, the 1911 Gordon Bennett Aviation Race at Eastchurch, and the founding there of the Royal Naval Air Service. Displays include the professionally restored Unknown Pilot painting, whose subject is still being researched. Entry £2, under-16s free, open 10am to 3pm Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Holder of the King's Award for Voluntary Service.
