Farmer Luxtons

Farmer Luxtons trades from Stockley on the edge of Okehampton, where Stuart and Lynette Luxton, with daughters Susie and Rachael, opened a farm shop in 2008 after years of supplying their meat to a local butcher. The shop's butchery counter sells beef from the family's own Aberdeen Angus herd and lamb they rear themselves, alongside fresh bread, vegetables, cheese, wine and spirits. A 2018 extension added a cafe serving hot food and cakes to customers browsing the shop. The business stays rooted in the Luxton family's farming background rather than expanding to other sites, keeping production and retail on the same holding outside town.
