Richard and Louise have run Frothys on Ironmonger Street since 2007, serving breakfast, light lunches and cakes from a converted shop with an open fireplace and outside seating. The kitchen sources bread from Askers Bakery, meat from Nelsons and Grassmere butchers, fish from Colin Fisheries and dairy from a local supplier, alongside beans roasted by Stamford Coffee Co. The café is licensed for beer, wine, cider and cocktails and runs a loyalty scheme for regulars. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options sit alongside the usual breakfast fry-up. Dogs are welcome in the outside seating area but not inside. Breakfast runs until 11.30am on weekdays, after which the same kitchen switches to a lunch menu until mid-afternoon.
