Johnsons Jewellers is an independent, family-owned jeweller at 50/51 Queens Road in the centre of Nuneaton, trading since 1897, when Harold Johnson opened as a watch repairer on Abbey Green. The business moved to Queens Road after the Second World War and has remained a single-site shop. Behind the retail floor it keeps working benches: on-site goldsmiths handle jewellery repairs, resizing, remodelling and bespoke commissions, while watchmakers service and repair both mechanical and quartz watches. It holds authorised-dealer status for several established watch and jewellery brands, but the workshop side, rather than boxed stock alone, is central to what it does. Now well into its fourth generation of family trading, it serves as the town's long-standing jeweller for engagement rings, repairs and servicing. The combination of a Victorian-era founding and continuous single-site family ownership is unusual for a high-street jeweller.
