A traditional butcher on St John Street, Ashbourne, where the whole team butchers by hand on the premises. The shop works with regional farmers and cures its own bacon, makes its own sausages and bakes pork and meat pies in-house, alongside black pudding, brawn and gluten-free faggots for those who need them. The shop has taken gold for its pork pies, meat pies, sausages and bacon at national competition, and has reached the finals of both Butchers Shop of the Year and British Sausage Week. It remains a single, independent, family-run shop rather than part of any group, and orders can be placed ahead for collection.
