Quinns Bookshop was founded in 1981 by Kevin Quinn, whose daughter Frances Quinn later won the Great British Bake Off; the family no longer owns the shop but the name has stayed. Reached down the alleyway between Joules and the Andrew Granger estate agency, the ground floor stocks books for all ages alongside art materials, stationery and greetings cards, with work by local artists displayed for sale. Upstairs, Willen Games operates as an independent tabletop wargaming retailer, selling miniatures, paints and terrain from Games Workshop, Warlord Games and Atomic Mass Games. The two trades share the premises rather than operating as separate shops. Quinns opens Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, closing on Wednesdays and Sundays, just off the market town's historic High Street.
