Seven Oaks Garden Centre occupies a site on the Lon Parcwr Retail Park on the edge of Ruthin, overlooking the Vale of Clwyd. The business was bought by Ian Forsyth in 2001 and has traded as an independent garden centre since, outside any of the larger regional or national garden centre groups. Stock covers seasonal bedding and container plants, growing sundries, tools and outdoor furniture, with staff giving planting advice rather than running a self-service warehouse format. An attached café serves cooked breakfasts and lunches made with Welsh ingredients where available, drawing passing custom from walkers and cyclists on routes through the Clwydian Range as well as garden centre visitors. The centre holds membership of the Horticultural Trades Association. It opens seven days a week, with slightly shorter Sunday hours than the rest of the week. The business remains single-site, run from the same Ruthin premises since Forsyth's purchase in 2001.
