The DodoMicropub

Lucy Do opened the Dodo in Hanwell in January 2017 after being made redundant from a publishing marketing job, turning a single room on Boston Road into a free house with no ties to any brewery. Up to five changing cask ales share the bar with wine, cider and spirits, and the pub distils its own gin, The Dodo of Hanwell, launched in 2020, followed by a rum in 2022. A collaboration pale ale brewed with Elusive Brewing won champion beer at Ealing Beer Festival. The pub has taken Ealing and West Middlesex CAMRA Pub of the Year honours several times and closes Tuesdays to manage costs.
