Ma Cuisine occupies the old post office in Kew Village, a building noted for townscape merit, with an arched window and pavement tables looking onto Station Approach. Owner and chef Mayur Nagarale, a Maître Restaurateur previously senior sous chef at Brasserie Roux, runs a traditional bistrot serving regional French cooking and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for its rustic, classically built dishes. The room keeps a 1950s bistro register: black and white tiled floor, French impressionist prints, gingham tablecloths, no attempt at modernising the look. Wine is chosen to match the kitchen rather than to chase a list length, and prices stay closer to a neighbourhood bistro than a Bib Gourmand restaurant might suggest. It draws a mixed crowd from the Botanic Gardens next door and from Kew's own streets, open across lunch and dinner most days.
