Roz Wallis runs Chiswickpots from Studio 17 in the Pavilion at Dukes Meadows, turning what started as her own hobby into a working studio in 2014. Twelve-week courses take beginners through wheel-throwing technique, with a separate intermediate class for returning students and an occasional Raku Saturday devoted to the traditional Japanese firing method. Finished pieces, including one-off collaborations with other local makers, are sold through the studio's online shop between classes. Wallis operates in partnership with the Chiswick Art School and opens the studio each June for the Artists at Home trail, when visitors can see work in progress on the wheel.
