Built in 1887 on Cromer's East Cliff, Cambridge House has operated as a guest house for years under its current owners, Liz and Ian, who run the six-bedroom Victorian property themselves rather than through a management company. Most rooms are ensuite and look out over the beach and pier, and breakfast is cooked to order using local ingredients, including the guest house's own marmalade and preserves. The building sits directly on the seafront next to the Red Lion, a short walk from Cromer town centre, with private off-street parking provided for guests. Rooms are non-smoking throughout, and reduced rates are offered for children sharing a room with parents. Cambridge House stays open year-round apart from the Christmas and New Year period, when the owners close for a break.
