The Little Theatre Society has run Sheringham Little Theatre since 1973, in a hall built in 1896 that later became the town's Picture House cinema before its conversion into a working theatre. The charity stages a professional repertory season each summer, one of the last of its kind still running in Britain, alongside a family pantomime in winter, comedy, jazz nights and archive film screenings. The theatre's mascot mouse, Monkswell, is named after the setting of a play that became the West End's longest-running production. Actor Suranne Jones took up the theatre's presidency in February 2024. The building also houses The HUB café and a small cinema screen with digital projection.
