DW Framing &The Village Gallery

DW Framing & The Village Gallery combines a working framing workshop with a small exhibition space on the Shore Road in Whiteabbey. Owner Darrin Walker is a Guild Commended Framer and Advanced Picture Framer with the Fine Art Trade Guild, and all framing is carried out on the premises using a computerised preview system so customers can see a piece mounted before committing. Alongside the framing counter, the gallery gives wall space to Irish and international artists on a rotating basis, functioning as much as a local showroom for original and limited-edition prints as a trade framer. The business also handles sporting memorabilia, tapestries, photo restoration and canvas stretching. It closes on Sundays, Mondays and bank holidays, and offers no-obligation consultations for anyone unsure what framing style suits a piece.
