Erne Water Taxi runs small-group and private guided boat tours from the jetty beside Enniskillen Castle, taking passengers across Upper and Lower Lough Erne. The operator works two vessels: a covered yellow water taxi carrying up to eight, and Island Discovery, a fully electric, wheelchair-accessible passenger boat seating twelve that travels quietly enough to hear the shoreline. Routes are shaped around each booking rather than a fixed timetable, with common stops at the monastic remains and round tower on Devenish Island and the carved stones of White Island. Guides provide commentary on the lough's history, folklore and wildlife, and pick-ups can be arranged from other jetties around the water. The business holds a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award and is run independently from its single Enniskillen base. Trips run seasonally, with private charters and castle-and-cruise passes available on request.
