JGK Butchersand Delicatessen

JGK Butchers and Delicatessen occupies 120 High Street in Royal Wootton Bassett, continuing a butchery that traded here for more than three decades as K and E.J Crump and Son. The Crump shop was taken over in May 2024 by the team behind The Butcher's Mate, the cafe-restaurant next door, which had opened in October 2020. The counter carries beef, pork, lamb, poultry, game and offal from UK farms, alongside more than thirty varieties of sausage made in-house, plus dry-cured bacon and gammon. The delicatessen side runs to cooked meats, cheeses, pies, pasties and condiments, much of it prepared on site. The two premises operate together, with the butchery supplying the kitchen. It trades Monday to Saturday, 7am to 5pm, and is closed on Sundays. Traceability and single-farm sourcing are set out on the shop's own website.
