Abbey Cottage Tearoom stands next to the ruins of Sweetheart Abbey in New Abbey, six miles from Dumfries on the South West Coastal 300. Homemade soups, scones, cakes and specialty teas and coffees have been the business for almost forty years, with a gift shop alongside. The patio garden looks out to the abbey and Criffel, and dogs are welcome at indoor and outdoor tables. Open daily, 10.30 to 4.30, with level access.
