Kilnford Farm Shop &Farmhouse Kitchen Café

Kilnford Farm Shop and Farmhouse Kitchen Café sits on the Rome family's working farm outside Dumfries, where the family has grazed cattle and sheep on the land for generations. Jock Rome opened the retail steading in 2011, converting stone farm buildings into a shop, butchery and café serving home-reared Galloway beef and Blackface lamb prepared on site. The Farmhouse Kitchen Café overlooks the yard and serves soups, pies and cakes made largely from produce grown or reared within sight of the counter. A short nature trail loops around the farm for visitors with children or dogs. The shop stocks a deli counter, an in-house bakery selection and produce from named local suppliers, alongside click-and-collect ordering and nationwide meat delivery.
