Jinty-B's Tearoom occupies 68 Drumlanrig Street in the centre of Thornhill, run by owner Janet, known locally as Jinty after a nickname given by a regular customer. The room takes its name from a model of a tank engine called Jinty on the wall, and the family-run kitchen serves all-day breakfasts, lunches and homemade cakes and scones, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available. Dogs are welcome at the tables nearest the door, and the tearoom takes cash only, with a cashpoint nearby for visitors. It has built a following among locals and travellers passing through on the A76, with recent reviews praising the scones and the welcome from Janet and her staff. Jinty-B's opens from around 9am and remains a single, independently run tearoom in Thornhill rather than part of any wider catering group.
