North 58 Sea Adventures runs wildlife boat trips out of Findhorn Marina, taking passengers into the Moray Firth to look for bottlenose dolphins, harbour seals, porpoises and seabirds along the coast. The family-run business was set up in 2012, operating its first boat, Buchaneer, before adding a second, Privateer, the following year to keep up with demand. Trips run most days from March to November, weather permitting, with private charters available over the winter months. Standard wildlife trips last around two hours and depart from Findhorn, with the business also running services from Lossiemouth. Skippers narrate each trip, pointing out marine life and stretches of coastline including Burghead Bay and the Culbin sands. Advance booking is recommended, particularly during summer weekends. The company operates independently of the larger dolphin-watching operators based further along the Moray Firth around Inverness and Chanonry Point.
