North Walsham Garden Centre occupies the former nursery grounds of Le Grice Roses, rose breeders who traded on the Norwich Road site for more than forty years before the family retired. David Youngs bought the business in 1999; since his death in 2011 it has been run by his children Ben, Emily and Victoria, alongside his sister Janice. Alongside the plant centre, garden machinery workshop and outdoor leisure department, Ramblers Restaurant serves home-cooked meals, including a Sunday roast, using produce from Norfolk suppliers. The restaurant caters for gluten-free and diabetic diets and welcomes dogs in the outside seating area, though not inside. Landscaping advice and rose stock remain a particular strength, a direct legacy of the site's horticultural past.
