Number One occupies a Victorian villa on Ranelagh Road, within Deal's Middle Street conservation area and a short walk from the seafront and Deal Castle. Owners Mark and Nicky Chaplin offer four individually decorated double rooms, each with a king-size bed and en suite bathroom. Breakfast is cooked using locally sourced ingredients where possible, with an extended menu offered at weekends. In 2015 the Chaplins received a VisitEngland Rose Award for their standard of guest care, and the property also holds a Gold Award in the Kent Breakfast Awards. The house sits among the town's Georgian and Victorian terraces, within walking distance of Deal's shops, restaurants and pier.
