Paul Ainsworth bought out his business partners in 2009, the year No6 opened in a Georgian townhouse on Middle Street, and has held a Michelin star there since 2013 — retained again in the 2026 guide. The cooking is modern British on Cornish supply, à la carte or a long tasting menu, dinner Tuesday to Saturday with lunch added through the summer. He and his wife Emma now run six places around the estuary — a caffè, a bar and a townhouse of suites in Padstow, the Mariners pub at Rock and, since January 2025, the St Enodoc Hotel — but the group remains a family operation, and this dining room is its flagship.
