Rebecca's Coffee Shop trades from a unit inside the Buttermarket, Enniskillen's early nineteenth-century dairy market building that was restored into a craft courtyard roughly 30 years ago. The coffee shop itself opened in 1990 and has passed from mother to daughter within the same family since. It takes its name from Rebecca Dickson, credited locally as the first person to sell fresh home-baked bread in Enniskillen during the nineteenth century. Through the day it serves soup, sandwiches, and home-baked cakes to visitors browsing the surrounding craft units, which include potters, jewellers, and textile makers under the same roof. Seating extends into the cobbled courtyard in good weather. As one of the longer-running food businesses within the Buttermarket complex, it functions as a stop for shoppers and market-day visitors, keeping a simple all-day counter-service menu rather than a fixed sitting or evening trade.
