Surveyed
Founded in 1972 by David and Betty Lambie, who moved north from Lanarkshire and lived in a caravan for three years while clearing the site, the centre began as a heather nursery with a tearoom that held only one table and two benches. A fire destroyed the buildings in April 2016; it was rebuilt and reopened in 2020, and still propagates heather on site alongside a plant nursery, gift shop and cafe.
